Margot Laffon is a contemporary Spanish artist, making waves in the contemporary art scene. Her work is currently on display in galleries around the world including Australia, Spain, Portugal, London and more.
In the pursue of her own artistic identity, she started experimenting with different styles and materials. Inspired by leading figures in Pop and Street Art, she managed to successfully amalgamate the best of these worlds in her own style.
Her art is inspired by bullfighters, pop and urban art, mixing classic pop culture icons with contemporary motifs such as Bitcoin.
Margot has a distinctive technique where she paints straight over old book pages with ink and watercolour. The sharp lines and high colour contrast convey strength, while feelings are transmitted through the characters gaze. Brave, defiant women give a message of power and victory, portraying that human can achieve all their goals.
