In ‘Model in fur with Bear’, Newton is at his confrontational best, provocatively placing a bear next to a model resplendent in fur. Newton charges this animalistic image with hierarchies of gender, placing a bear as substitute for her male counterpart. This image was pictured on the front of one of his major books, "World without Men", and is counted as one of Newton’s most powerful images.
